LDR (long distant relations) truly are a test of faith and trust. Some days this can be so daunting that you feel the only way you can deal with the conflicting feelings building up in yourself is to run, hide maybe even quit all together. In these times of weakness the other half should stay strong, and express the deep desire to share a life together. Sometimes this requires to set aside your own feeling for a little while to be there for each other, sometimes it requires to start with a clean sheet by removing the past and showing it is the future you are trying to develop together. There is no right way to deal with the pain of separation, everyone is different. But by opening up and talking about how each individual would like to deal with a situation like that might help. Some need space and solitude, some need to talk and just let it all out...but everyone wants that one thing you can't have...a hug, just holding each other. This makes the ldr extremely hard to maintain, because we all feel weak at certain times...but when you can overcome these times the relation grows stronger. And trust me, they will be there (ask anyone who has to deal with this situation) and both parties will feel hopelessly lost...because not only the one in pain needs that hug, the other half desperately wishes to give this hug thereby feeling helpless, sharing the pain.

I think I just want to say...if the love is strong from both sides, battle your way through it together...it will only benefit the bond between the lovers, so don't give up if your heart still tells you this is the right thing, this is the person you want to be with. It might help to find others in a similar situation to share your experiences and to talk about how they dealt with these feelings. It will be hell, but sometimes you need to go through hell to reach heaven...Take care all you sharing the hardship of ldr it will be worth it in the end.
