Went to see the Hurly Burly Show on Fri night.
I'd been to a few local burlesque shows, so I thought I knew the formulae. Hot girls dancing all sey like, taking off clothes to music somewhat related to what they were doing.
OMG !!! I'll say it again. OMFG!!! This was the most amazing performance of burlesque I've EVER seen!
Firstly the performers were all insanely hot, but not in an 'unobtainable' way. They were all fit, and had the bodies to show for it, but they still jiggled in all the right places! They were REAL woman and NEVER let you forget that throughout the show!
Miss Polly Rae never missed a single note thoughout the night, her singing was flawless. Singing everything from Rihanna to Madonna to Goldfrapp, Pet Shop Boys and Micheal Jackson. ( I have never NEVER heard any thing as sexy as her rendition of "Bad", never thought anything by MJ could be that sexy).
With just a slight pause, or a change of facial expression, Polly could change the meaning of a song entirely, with hilarious sexual innuendo.
The entire show was so beautifully done, at times even a perve such as myself, barely noticed that they were only wearing G-Strings and Pasties. That's how good the singing, dancing and often outrageous humour was.
This is no doubt one of the best performances I have EVER been to.
I personally rank it on par with Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Phantom of the opera", but please don't ask me to choose!
