As I reached the grove, Steve, our omnipotent voice, directed everyone to begin stretching. So, over the course of 45 minutes we greeted strangers, played thumb war, created color blocks and tetris puzzles, twirled umbrellas, and played human twister...all leading up to the big finale... an epic battle! A battle fought with balloons and filled with dramatic deaths and all the while it RAINED!!!! In the end, we all meditated, in the mud and muck, then trudged through the rain, waving good bye to our mission colleagues!

Parking, as usual, was dreadful. Two o'clock was quickly approaching (the event started promptly at 2 PM, you even had to sync your watch to the atomic clock!). The clock flashed 2, I scrambled for my ipod and hit play, fumbling for the headphones so I wouldn't miss anything. I finally found a spot. It was already past two o'clock! Playing on my ipod was an electronic tune...no words, no directions. I dashed across the park to the designated spot just in time to see a bunch of people stand up! It had begun!

Fast forward to October 5...the mp3 event had arrived. I woke this morning, downloaded the mp3 file, synced my ipod and set it to the file. Got dressed in my red, grabbed my umbrella and ran to the drug store to get balloons. With the requirements for the event collected, I headed off to the park.
