Where I'm at in life....“I no longer have patience for certain things, not because I’ve become arrogant, but simply because I reached a point in my life where I do not want to waste more time with what displeases me or hurts me. I have no patience for cynicism, excessive criticism and demands of any nature. I lost the will to please those who do not like me, to love those who do not love me and to smile at those who do not want to smile at me.

I no longer spend a single minute on those who lie or want to manipulate. I decided not to coexist anymore with pretense, hypocrisy, dishonesty and cheap praise. I do not tolerate selective erudition nor academic arrogance. I do not adjust either to popular gossiping. I hate conflict and comparisons. I believe in a world of opposites and that’s why I avoid people with rigid and inflexible personalities. In friendship I dislike the lack of loyalty and betrayal. I do not get along with those who do not know how to give a compliment or a word of encouragement. Exaggerations bore me and I have difficulty accepting those who do not like animals. And on top of everything I have no patience for anyone who does not deserve my patience.”

R.I.P Shawn Tracey McAdam 1969-2012
One of my best friends of 35 years was diagnosed with A.L.S.(Lou Gehrigs Disease) on July 28th and told he had 6 months to a year to live,he was called back on Aug 3rd and told he was advanced and he had less then 3 months to live,he had a few beers with the boys that night and later had trouble breathing and was rushed to the hospital and placed on life support...it was removed the next day at 3:30pm and he left this world.I have so much admiration for him,not a whine or whimper about it and he laughed right to the end.You will be missed by so many of us brother.I love you and will miss Shawnzie :(

Hey all :)...It's been quite a month!!I was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago and rushed into an emergency operation.I had my tonsils and Uvula removed along with a 2.5 cm tumor that was attached to one of my tonsils.I will be starting radiation and chemotherapy in about 10 days.Please keep me in your thoughts as I do battle with this.I'm feeling pretty positive and believe I will beat this.But if things don't go in my favor don't be sad for me I've had a great life!!
On a lighter note I'm now on vacation until my chemo starts!!!
Last week after spending the day boating on the river and starting to pack things up and load the boat on the car I was caught off guard by mother nature!!!Within 5 minutes of pulling ashore a tornado touched down and I was caught in the middle of it!!It was 30 degrees out and calm as I watched a large black cloud roll over the valley I was in and the wind picked up and started blowing sand in the air.Within seconds I was wrestling to drag the boat away from the river but couldn't hang on to it!!It blew across the field and into the tree line,I followed as there was no place to take cover except in the trees.I manged to grab the rope on the front of the boat and tie it to a tree and then grabbed onto a tree and held on.I'm six foot tall and 220 pounds and my feet were actually lifting off the ground!!Flashes of lightning and then pounding hard rain I watched as trees toppled over and 30-50 pound pieces of trees broke off and were landing all around me.I then realized that maybe the trees were not a good place to be as I might get hit!!I managed to drag the boat into the woods and got underneath it .After about five minutes it all stopped and the sun came out.I could see the steam coming off of my clothes as the sun beamed down on me.I truly feel like I lived through something that I may well have died in.Sadly a few miles from where I was at a father and his two kids were caught in it at a lake they were vacationing at and they were not as lucky...the father managed to get his girls to shore but ended up drowning and not being found until the next day!!I will post some pics with this tale as soon as I take them off my phone .ttys :)
