I had the best time ever in London last week - even though several obstacles arose.
I was going to a The Cure concert Thursday the 20th- and it was magical! However the weather wasn't. When I should head home to the hotel it just rained and was cold and I couldn't get any buses home. The underground was closed. By I was on such a happy high it didn't matter. Next day I slept in late and went to town at noon. To begin with the weather was nice and I was enjoying myself but by 6 o' clock the sky turned dark and it became a real horrific Good Friday with thunderstorms and lightning.
And it got cold and claustophobic - just like living the album Pornography.
Saturday I went to Heathrow at 12 noon. My plane was scheduled to depart at 2.15 pm. But hooray - it was cancelled and I was booked on the flight 5.45 pm. A few extra hours at the airport is always interesting. In the end it became 7,5 hours in total. So I had a shopping spree at Heathrow and as a courtesy of British Airways I got several rfreshment vouchers so I could keep the drinks and beers coming almost for free. So when the plane arrived after 7pm. and finally departed at 8 pm I didn't mind at all. Instead I was happy as a lark and feeling really buzzed out. Drunk and awake.
So I spent the entire Easter Day at airports and travelling back and forth. It was a new experience.
I thought it was - if not all fun - quite interesting to say the least. Tiresome - sure. But I kept smiling, laughing and joking all the time

Oh I just love the Swedish railways. The operating company shows just why monopolys works. I went to örebro today, just south of Stockholm and I actually trafficked both the central station and Örebro south thre times today. Once when I arrived, once when I left and had to change into another train. But it broke down. So I had to change in another city I've already been in and then went back to where I came from. Just terrific. And half an hour became double the time. That's just time efficient!!!
