Is this all a man as me is good for? To compose of a sad day and let all who see it mock his sorrow with compliments for his skill to deliver an accurate relief of his misery in an ENTERTAINING fashion! To what end do I toil withmy pen, just to see my past unravel before my face yet again? I was told by a friend that I was always good at goodbyes,

Perhaps that's true? Perhaps it's time,

To open my eyes,

To a different kind,

Of phrase of greeting I'm talking of hello of hi,

I do wonder why though,

I've become so good at letting go,

At losing what seems to be the last of my hope,

Why I can force myself not to hold on,

To a beautiful dawn.



Fear of course would be the answer,

I've been afraid of love spreading like cancer,

For where love is love can be taken away,

Where love was a rift is there to stay.



Still in the nature and spirit of the way I am,

I hold on to hope for things to change for the better end.

Perhaps I should leave behind,

All my past goodbyes,

And to all those whose love is shown,

Give them all a new hello...
