Do you know as children, girls are warned against the dangers of certain types of men? Those shady, slightly dangerous looking men who are ‘up to no good’. No description is ever given to how these men look like but somehow these girls grew up and know which men were precisely the ones their mothers had spoken of. While some girls shield themselves from these types of men, either afraid or not bothered by them, some are inexplicably attracted to the precise danger these men possess. I sometimes think I'm just one of those.

There is just something about this man, she thinks as she watches him sleep, her long fingers carelessly running through his bare chest. He isn’t as pretty as a girl or handsome like the other men, he’s simply that kind of man to whom the word ‘beautiful’ fits like it’s been invented for his sake. He really is beautiful.
With fair skin, fine cheekbones, and contrastingly of his eyes and hair… he’s not quite a model, but so much more. Is he the epitome of male beauty? Maybe not, but in her mind, he’s very close to reaching it. He emits that kind of glow that attracts others but at the same time keeps them at distance. He also has a dark side of him, like all humans have: he’s eyes speak that he is torn maybe even lost, and even then he is beautiful. He is mystery and passion blended into one. And his kisses always taste of menthol cigarettes. She is addicted to his taste and that is perhaps the only, true reason why she smokes herself.
What is she beside him, then, if he is so beautiful? He’s become almost like an unreachable star, out of her comprehension. There is an ache in the pit of her stomach, twisting her insides, an ache that she chooses to ignore. She’s been running away for a long time. She’s a master already, so this is nothing to her. ‘Ignorance is bliss,’ was it? Yeah, she likes living by that... rule.
He stirs at the feather-like touch of her fingertips. His eyes open themselves reluctantly, deep orbs glazed over with heavy sleep. She thinks he is beautiful. And he is.
Her lips quirk into a smirk when he gazes at her with sleepy eyes and he nuzzles against her, bringing her closer to him. “Mornin’...” his voice is raspy, but still characteristically deep and husky.
Her eyes fall to his lips, to the curve of his neck, to his chest heaving up and down in a slow rhythm, to his arms curled around her and holding her tight. When she tries to move she finds that he doesn’t have the slightest intention of letting go. He is acting like a child, almost pouting, as if complaining about her wanting to leave him. Definitely a child, she concludes.
There is rich laughter in her voice as she mumbles, “Hello, beautiful.”
And there are tears in her eyes and a smile tugging at her lips. He doesn’t even ask a thing.

Just because I laugh at eye patches doesn't make me horrible! Okay maybe it does

Mom- Did you call your grandfather today?
Me- Why?
Mom- Because he had eye surgery
Me- Oh my fucking god! Does he have a eye patch?
Mom- Yes Tiff
Me- :laughing hysterically: Call him! Ask him if he wants me to bring him a parrot and a peg leg
Mom- Your horrible
Me- and your father has an eye patch we all have flaws!

She laid across her desk as she sipped her morning coffee. She thought maybe she'd eat some breakfast but that was for champions, she'd never be a champion. Her mother glances at her as she prepares for work and asks how her night was.
She could of answered:
"I thought of talking a walk alone down the dirty streets and see where they lead me. Simply trying to find the good in the world, like a dandelion sprouting out of cow manure. I'd watch people pass and try to figure out which has sinned more then me, while counting every drunken hobo who cooed for me to acknowledge them. I may have even smiled if I couldn't see my future in them. I'd find a church and lay across it's steps whispering prayers in my own language, maybe if I threw God off a bit he'd spend less time smiting me and more time letting me smile. I think I would of even started a fight with someone bigger and stronger then me so I could come home broken and you'd show me love like I always wanted. I may have even been lucky enough to go to the hospital where people would fuss over me and make me feel like my life mattered for once."
or
"I sat on the roof for hours pushing myself farther and farther out until my legs dangled over the edge. I watched our laughing neighbors and was envious of their happiness, I wish I had a rifle so I could blow those smiles right off their faces. I dragged my nails across the tar until my fingers bleed, then I dragged them some more so I could feel pain and believe for a moment I was human. Sometimes I just stared at the ground below and wondered how it would feel to jump. I'd hit the ground leaving a beautiful crimson outline, maybe my broken body may land near a bunch of once smiling faces and giggling children. The ambulance would come to retrieve me and find me in toothless smile wondering what could have caused me to make such a mess. Yeah I thought of jumping but I wouldn't. I'd never want to be another tragic story for the news to feed on."
But instead she pours herself a new cup of coffee and stares into the dark liquid as she poured milk in it watching it turn to a light brown. She pushes her dyed hair from her face with the tinniest of smiles and whispers "It was fine."
