To those I loved & those who loved me

When I am gone, release me, let me go ...

I have so many things to see and do,
you mustn't tie yourself to me with tears;
be happy that we had these precious years.

I gave you my love, you can only guess
how much you gave me in happiness.

I thank god for the love you have shown,
but now it's time I travelled on alone.

So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must;
then let your grief be comforted by trust.

It's only for awhile that we must part,
so bless the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on;
so if you need me, call and I will come.

Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near,
and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear,
all of my love around you soft and clear.

And then, when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and say

" Welcome Home"

I recieved this from a friend

I read of a man who stood to speak, at the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on her tombstone from the begining, to the end.
He noted that first came the date of her birth and spoke of the following date with tears but he said that what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time that she spent alive on earth and now only those who loved her know what that little line is worth, for it matters not, how much we own, the cars, the house... the cash...
What matters is how we live and love... and how we spend our dash
So think about this long and hard; are there things you need to change?
For you never know how much time is left that can still be rearranged.
If we just slow down enough to consider whats true and real and always try to understand the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger and show appreciation more and love the people in our lives... like we never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect and more often wear a smile... remembering that this special dash might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy is being read... with your lifes action to rehash... would you be proud of the things they say..... about how you spent your dash?

Dear dog and cats:
TO BE POSTED VERY LOW ON REFRIGERATOR DOOR, AT PET NOSE LEVEL::: Dear dogs and cats: The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find it aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.The stairway was not designed bi NASCAR and is not a race track. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.I cannot buy anything bigger than a king size bed. I am very sorry for this. Do not think I will continue to sleep on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up into a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.For the last time, there is no exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it's not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob, or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years--canine or feline attendance is not required.The proper order is... kiss me... then go smell the other dogs or cats butt... I cannot stress this enough! Remember: Dogs and cats are better than kids because:1. Don't ask for money all the time.2. Are easier to train3. Normally come when called4. Don't need gazillion dollars for college, and...5. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children Hope you enjoyed this. (lol) :)

When I am called to duty, God, wherever flames may rage,
give me the strength to save someone"s life whatever be the age.
Help me embrace a little child before it's too late,
or save an older person from the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout,
and quickly and efficiently put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me,
to guard my every neighbor and protect his property.
And if according to your plan I am to lose my life
please bless with your protecting hands my children and my spouse.
