There he is,
the one in the mask.
A thousand faces
merged into one.
Sadness, anguish, disappointment,
a snap of a finger changes the illusion.
Delight, happiness, joy,
he interchanges them, almost like toys.
Truths, lies, hurts & desires,
all remain hidden, even when his soul tires.
Walls are sometimes built, not to block,
but to see who cares enough to knock.
Words are sometimes used, not to speak,
just to hurt, just to irk.
Masks are worn, if I'm correct,
to conceal, & to protect.
There he is,
