Rae was distracted by a noise and turned to see her sister sitting, sound asleep, in a chair. "Brianna..." she whispered, her voice strangely thick and hoarse. Her sister shifted again and Rae smiled. Brianna could sleep through a herd ofelephants charging through her bedroom, as the saying went. What was an elephant, anyway? Something tugged at the back of her mind. She closed her eyes and her mother's voice drifted through her memories. "An elephant was a giant animal, twice the size of any werewolf. It had large curving teeth thatstuck out in front of it's face and it had a long nose that was like a hand and it was all grey and wrinkley." Ow, why did that hurt so much? Something... something about gunshots... and running in the dark... A spasm of pain ripped through her shoulder, nearly making her scream. As it was a long, low groan escaped her throat. She opened her eyes and attemped to sit up. Her limbs, though still leaden, were as srong as wet noodles. She got maybe a tenth of the way up before falling back down. Determined, she tried again, but this time she didn't even get that far. Lying exhausted on the bed, she wondered what made her so sick she couldn't even get up. Just then a woman came in, wearing the clean white uniform of a doctor. "Oh, so you're awake. Good, though according to your symptoms, you shouldn't be up for another week yet." What do you mean, my symptons? How long have I been out for?" she looked up at the Doctor and frowned. "You've been unconcious for 3 weeks and it seemed you had the plorjius Nogrim Flu, but now I'm not so sure. Oh, by the way I'm Doctor Connors." She looked at the chart in her hand and said"I'm gonna have to check your vitals, now" She reached down andpressed her index and middle fingers angainst Rae's wrist. "Alright, pulse is slightly elevated, but considering you just woke up, that's fine." She marked it off on the chart and took out a syringe. "Sorry I have to use theseold medical supplies, but all the new ones need a power source. I'm going to take a saple of your blood and then i'll be done." she stuck it into Rae's arm and gasped as the dark blood came out."It's ... It's... Purple! Rae, who had averted her eyes when the needle entered her skin, looked and saw this was true. "What the hell!?!" She screamed her voice thick and guttural. Brianna started and looked up sleepily. Wha...? Rae your awake! What's wrong?" "My blood is freaking purple!" screamed Rae, Panicking. She attempted to get up again and this time she managed it. "My freaking blood is purple! Why is it purple?" She roared a Dr.Collins, who was still staring stupifyed at the blood. She looked up, dazed and said, "I have no idea." drawn by the screaming, a nurse appeared."Anything wrong?" asked the nurse, apprehensively."OF course there's something wrong , you idiot! My BLOOD is freaking PURPLE!!!" The nurse looked at the needle in Dr.Collins hand. "What's going on here!" Rae yelled And got off the bed,"I want answeres!" "Rae you're scaring me." Brianna whispered and Rae looked down, feeling guilty. "Sorry Bri, i'm just ... scared, too." Doctor Collins, who had gone back to looking at the syringe after replying to the nurse, spoke up."We're going to have to run a few tests on you, Rae." "Tests? What kind of tests?" Dr.Collins did not answer, instead gestured to the nurse to grab a sedative. "What are you doing?" Rae demanded "I'm not doing anything. Rae why don't you sit down and wait for Dr. Miller to get here? He'll explain everything." Just then the needle plunged into her arm and Rae was spiralling down and down through the darkness...

The year is 2950. This war haas been going on for 400 years now The humans live in fear and poverty while the werewolves flourish in their natural habitat, having destroyed almost all the old civilizations in 2870. We are losing and we know it. We have only one hope left,...and we are about to use it.

Rae huddles with her sister behind a screen of plywood and smoke. The gunshots get further apart as her parents run out of bullets. They dare not make a sound,and as the roars of the werewolves change from pain to anger,begin to fear the worst will happen. A scream from their mother and Rae feels silent tears slide down her dirty cheeks. But she knows what to do, having lost many family members before. She grabs her sister's hand and quietly stands up. They shifted aside a peice of wood and slipped out of the shelter. They quikly ran off in the direction of the safe house, but are not fast enough to out distance the sounds of feeding. Sobbing openly, now she staggers and nearly falls as her vision blurs. "Come on Brianna, we've got to male it, We just gotta." They ran for hours across the wasteland of the battlefeild, but just as the safe house came into sight,they heard the soft, thud-thud of werewolf paws. "Run Brianna, i'll catch up to you!" Rae told her sister, drawing her .45 Magnum. "No, Rae I need you!" cried her sister holding tight to her sister's dirty tunic. " Brianna,you have to go there and tell them what happen. I will come when I'm finished here. I promise."Brianna looked up at Rae for a second then turned and ran for the compound. Rae turned to face the viscous beast headed toward her, glad to be facing a young male instead of a pack of females. She took the safety off and raised the pistol. Slowly thecreature dreww closer. It was already bleeding from it's left flank and haad obviously already fought something. She sighted the monster's eyes and sqeezed the trigger, closing her eyes. She heard the shot and the wolf's cry of pain but,. though it stumbled, it didnot stop coming at her. Next thing she new there were teeth in her shoulder and she was down. She presse the barrel of the gun into it's stomach and fired twice rapidly. The blood spattered upwards as the werewolf was thrown upwards by the force of the bulllts. He fell back down onto Rae, it's jaw slamming into her head.. Already weak from bloodloss and the virus that runs in Werewolf blood and saliva, she was knocked unconcious.

A couple hours later, Rae woke up, her head as light as s festher, her other limbs like lead.She lay there looking up at the clouds, thinking about what beautiful shapes they made for a couple minutes. Suddenly she realised something was wrong, something about a promise. She sat up. "Oh, shit!" sh pushed the werewolves corpse off of her self and looked around. Only morning. "but what day?" she said aloud. Rae stood up and immiediatl was overcome by a wave of dizziness. As soon as the world stopped spinning, she started off for the safehouse. I hope Bri got there all right, she thought as she walked. She would occasionaly feel a wave a nausea pass over her, but it wasn't enough to stop her. She finally got to the mound and entered her password into the keypad. she pressed her eye to the scanner and winced as the bright red light sent a stab of pain through her head. "Rae Mona Smith confirmed" said a cool female voice and the door slid open. She stepped in theelevator and pressed 'information centre'. The elevator clanked downwards and shuddered to a stop. "Information Centre" said the elavator and Rae stepped off the lift. "Oh my god! RAE!" screamed a voice, and Raegrabbed her head as a migraine started. She moaned and heard voices talking to her as she fell to her knees. "Someone get her to the Infirmary, stat!" a voice called with nightmarish slowness. "But Brianna, where is she?" Rae tried to ask, but it seemed no one heard her. "I think she said something," said a new voice," but I couldn't make it out."Rae sank down into the darkness. The sunlig

So, my step mom can't spell very well and she just asked me how to spell finest. I told her it was F I N E S T and she asked me, "doesn't that spell finest (finn)?" and I answered her,"No, it's like likable it looks like lick-able.'
