i think i just cock-blocked my roommate's cat. he has this one cat named heart (due to a black spot of fur on a white background, shaped like a heart), which he has had for like 7 years. then, he just got a kitten (harley), less than 2 weeks ago. any time they get near eachother, heart hisses at harley cause he tried to be playful and she didnt want to be bothered. well, i went out for a bit, and when i came home, he runs in my room, and she is in my room, sitting on my bed (must have closed her in here when i left). i kick them both out and go to shut the door. i stop for a moment to see if they are gonna fight again (let me repeat, its only a playful pat from a clawless paw, followed by a hissing and running away. neither cat gets hurt. otherwise, it wouldnt be funny). instead, i see the two, perfectly centered with the slight crack of light comming from my computuer in my room through the doorway which i was blocking. i see harley sniff heart. she sniffs him back. im still waiting for the hiss. instead, for a couple minutes, they just kept doing this. i started thinking. with the little light im seeing them with, i cant be sure they are sniffing, and not licking. i think i spent 2 minutes watching these two (neutered/spaded) cats make out. then harley turned and ran to my door, and i quickly closed it.

wow! i came up with an awsome line earlier today. i dont even know where it came from. i was walking down the halls at my work, on my way to my office, and i saw a guy i knew. i asked him hows it going. he said another day, another dollar. i told him thats not true. after taxes and inflated gas prices, he only gets $0.02 left, just enough to put his 2 cents in. unfortunately, he will be charged a penny for his thoughts, which will leave him in debt.

i find it hard to believe that after all this time, the story of pandora's box is still misunderstood. has anyone actually read it or do you just know the summary from what others have told you?

heres the story. she had the box. she was told not to open it. curiosity got the best of her and she did open it. well, it was a trap. as soon as she opened it, despair, hate, pain, suffering, and many other bad things escaped into the world. as soon as she realized her error, she slammed the box shut. by that point, it was too late. all but one thing had escaped from the box. that one thing was hope.

how is it that so many people interpret this as that humans still have hope? all those evils were sealed away in the box. they could do no harm until she set them free. however, hope being still sealed in the box means we still have it? no we dont! its sealed in the box! all the bad things were let out, but the one good thing remains sealed in the box. therefore, we have no hope. its lost to us, wherever pandora's box ended up, forever sealed beyond our reaches.

i gave up on love a long time ago. the only thing ive gotten from it is that my back became a bullseye for daggers. they say that all is fair in love and war. well, love is at war... with me. i dont look for it. i resign myself to being single, then it finds me. only, it just causes problems. how many times can something be broken before theres nothing left to superglue together? ive liked this girl for a few months now. sometimes it seems like she likes me but other times, it seems like she is just kinda toying with me. now theres another person i feel an attraction for, but most of the time i think she isnt interested in me. can someone recommend me to a doc willing to perscribe depo provera so i can chemically castrate myself and not have to deal with this shit anymore?
