You are The HierophantDivine Wisdom. Manifestation. Explanation. Teaching. All things relating to education, patience, help from superiors. The Hierophant is often considered to be a Guardian Angel. The Hierophant's purpose is to bring the spiritual down to Earth. Where the High Priestess between her two pillars deals with realms beyond this Earth, the Hierophant (or High Priest) deals with worldly problems. He is well suited to do this because he strives to create harmony and peace in the midst of a crisis. The Hierophant's only problem is that he can be stubborn and hidebound. At his best, he is wise and soothing, at his worst, he is an unbending traditionalist. What Tarot Card are You? Take the Test to Find Out.

Well it seems the more things change, the more they stay the same here on FB! Some just need to be able to shout, swear, and threaten you when things don't go exactly right for them. I suggest they go out and buy Boston's first album, get a glass of wine, relax, and listen to "Peace of Mind". An excerpt; BOSTON Peace of Mind Now everybody's got advice they just keep on giving. Doesn't mean too much to me. Lots of people have to make-believe they're living, Can't decide who they should be. I understand about indecision, But I don't care if I get behind. People living in competition; All I want is to have my peace of mind.

Summer 2008 II Renaissance Faire, Pirate Fest, Classic cars, and other oddities..... Summer is in full swing and I never go anywhere without at least one stuffed camera bag, sometimes two! A church exploded in my town two doors down from my office! Had to go to the Renaissance Faire twice this year because it was so crowded and hard to get good clean shots, missed my favorite classic car show due to a scheduling conflict, and the Pirate Fest wasn't all that good this year :( . Ready to pull the plug on FB, as I really don't have time for it now, when all of a sudden I make a new friend....lifelong I hope! Early July, so much to do given our shortened summers here in the upper midwest. But I just can't pry myself away from FB now....how can anyone have a relationship with someone they never met?????? But it is not without its FB related issues.....jealousy, which still baffles me....greed, trying to buy every pic in every game there is....and then the other friends which by now I am seriously neglecting start advising, coaching, and eventually deleting me. By summer's end I am still here minus a few good friends and now the very special one is gone too. I know you're still there, and I appreciate it.....but it is just not the same :(

Summer 2008 Two very different late spring/early summer cruises; first with Costa in the Caribbean, then aboard Norwegian in Alaska!! Both, of course great venues for photography! You can buy line time for internet on board, but it is expensive, and FB can wait! Between cruises, booked two weddings, and bought my summer concert tickets. My second passion is classic rock. Who knows how long these guys will keep playing so I go every chance I get...camera in hand, when allowed. Also something started to change on FB....something new. A twenty something Egyptian girl convinces me to add MSN msgr so she can better ask her many photography questions. Next thing I know I am dragged into the middle of her online love affair with a guy halfway around the world from Egypt who she never met! The next two weeks are spent mostly on MSN, which is very unfriendly to my MAC, referee-ing their displeasure with each other's actions on FB. I ask myself, how can anyone have a relationship with someone they never met???????? Beginning to re-think FB now. All the photography interest in the beginning is starting to wane, and I am spending most of my time wading through which hugs, pokes, and other actions to accept, and from whom??? I have to focus on the upcoming concerts...Eric Burdon, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kansas, WAR, STYX, Marshall Tucker Band, and one of my favorites...Boston! As of this "Tale", I am still editing most of my concert work since there are no deadlines. They are for my own personal enjoyment and occasionally a framed gift to my like minded music friends.

2008 Spring Having posted some of my photos on MySpace, FLIKR, Deviant Art, and some other places someone told me I should also post on FB. So, I did. I spent about a month trying to find my way around, post pics, find friends with a mutual interest. I decided early on to "go International" with FB having already met many USA friends on the other venues. Egypt, Lebanon, Israel, Australia, South Africa, China, Japan, etc! Never expected so many friends so fast!! I received many comments on my work, joined some group contests, and met more people who were not necessarily photographers, but liked good photos. This is the part of my FB experience I did not expect. Then came the apps! "Put a couple of photos in 'Owned', you'll get more exposure" I was told. Buying (owning) photos of some of the friends I met was fun, and mine were seemingly getting "more valuable" by the day! Then I experienced the feeling of losing a friend's photo, and not having enough money to get it back :(((( A real sense of loss! Then a few friends bidding for the same photo of me that I snapped hurriedly one morning after shaving! Words on my "wall" .....you would think I was Ansel Adams! So I quit, took down my photos and got a full inbox of angry emails explaining how much "money" I had cost my friends by doing that! Money? I am on my third round of playing Owned, hope I get it right this time! Now I begin receiving requests to hug, poke, kiss, and %$#&@ some of my friends! They are called "apps". By the end of May, after returning home from a 10 day cruise without FB, I had over 200 requests of this sort!!!! The snow is melting, summer is coming, and if I want to buy those two new Canon "L" lens I better start booking some work. You see photography is a part time passion for me making enough money to feed my bottomless hunger for new camera equipment. The "apps" can wait..........
