Something very unfortunate, but gratifying happened tonight. I was getting a lift home from a film set, when we heard screams from the side of the road. I asked the driver to turn around, and we came across a very unfortunate sight. A very big guy, an owner of a porn shop, was getting pretty heavy with two teenage girls. Apparently, they had decided to steal some balloons from the front of his shop on their way home, and he had decided to beat them up for it. Getting out of the car, I managed to stop the guy, who was quite a bit bigger than me! For those of you who don't know me, i am 183cm's, (6'), and 105kg's, (About 170lbs), not a small guy myself. To see a big guy beating up on two girls... very distressing. The driver, who is a nurse, took the girls home where they'd be safe and cared for.
This whole thing was very distressing, but at the same time it made me feel pretty damned good. I LIKE to protect people, and it is good to know that even though I am older and fatter than once I was, I'll still lay it all on the line when required to protect fellow humans from unfairness and oppression. I hope the girls learned something from the ordeal, and that the guy will think twice before picking on folk smaller than him next time. Some people deserve the justice of hatred, and I think he was one.

A new opportunity has reared it's head, which changes my ideas somewhat. A friend and colleague has made a great contact with a local commercial TV station, and we have a chance to write a comedy series. If this goes ahead, I won't have to move, and might just have a decent career after all! Wish me luck.

I realised something tonight. Something as special and unique as your one true love is not worth giving up on. If I could give up on that, what would be worth trying for? So I am not going to give up, I am not going to stop. I will try everything I can to bring my love back home again.

I am very seriously considering making another TV show. The first one didn't go so well, but I learned a lot, and I think the second attempt would be better. Since I am going to be in this city a little longer than anticipated, I might as well do something with my time.
