In my empty field of happiness,
there stands but one tree.
It's old, it's gray, it's ugly
but stands there just for me.
No people dance around it,
the warmth of it has gone.
It moved into my future
and stuck like it belonged.
Now days seem pale and grayish.
The sparkle is no more.
I want to feel fantastic
but problems make me soar.
I need someone to move in,
to move into my life.
To give me back my sparkle
and take away my strife.
