He grabbed me 'round my slender neck
I could not call or scream
He dragged me to his dingy room
Where he could not be seen
He peeled away my flimsy wrap
And looked upon my form
I was so cold and damp
While he was hot and warm
He pressed his feverish lips to mine
I could not make him stop
He drained me of my very self
I gave him every drop
He made me what I am today
That's why you see me here
An empty bottle thrown away
That once was full of beer.

My uncle died. he was my mother's brother. He had answers about my mother that no one else had and now I'll never know.
My mother died around this time in 1991, we buried her on Valentines Day.
Now my uncle stops breathing on my birthday and will now be buried beside her.
The night he died, I had a dream... the whole family was together at a large table. My mother asked me if I wanted to spend time with her alone, I hugged her so long to show her I did. My father then insisted I come to his place for a little while but kept me distracted there until the sun went down. By then it was too late and I never had the chance to see my mother again.
Maybe now is not the time for me to see her but it was nice to know that our family will be together again.
How fragile we are.
