Woot! Another victory for Prague. We left a 5:30 (which means I got up at freaking 4 a.m.!) to take the 3 hr drive to Fairview. My duet partner was sick,so I had to drop that,but I also took a Humerous Interpertation and a Dramatic Interpertation,both of which went straight to finals. A cell phone went off during BOTH my performances,which made me really mad,but I got 3rd in both of them. And Prague took 1st in sweeps,of course. Yay us! Now I'm going to bed.

Forget the sun! The beach rocks anyway. I found sea cucumbers! And I stepped on a sea urchin (accidently). I also poked a starfish (on purpose). I found a load of shells,and had a really good lunch (artichoke hearts are not as wierd as they sound/look). Then I watched a sea otter catching and eating the stuff I'd just had in a restaraunt. I've decided I am not ashamed of my flight sickness. Eating calimari and then watching a little otter eating live ones..that takes guts.

After an ungodly amount of take-offs and landing (the plane stopped in Pheonix and Orange County),and some unfortunate flight sickness, I am finally safe at my aunt's house in lovely,sunny California. There's just one problem:It's freezing! Comparatively,it's good,(they're covered in ice at home),but still. I envisioned beaches and orange trees in shimmering sun. They're not as good at 37 degrees. Ah well,vacation is as vacation does.

YAY FOR ME! I got a shiny gold medal in Poetry at the speech meet yesterday. And Prague got 1st place in 2A and Champs sweeps! I broke finals in Dramatic Interpertation and Humorous Duet,too. And then we got to go eat because we won. Oh the funosity! Now I can go to Regionals with my Poetry and my Original Oratory (I won with that at another meet.) WOOT!

I love exploring! I went to the river behing my house and explored a little tributary stream. The water was freezing,but absolutely sparkling. The banks were all warm and sandy,but there were some fallen trees,and the banks were a bit steep and crumbly. I climbed down a tree into the water and carried on barefoot (it's easier to fall in flip-flops). I climbed back up the bank,through the woods and onto the road in time to hitch a ride home in my cousin-in-law's bulldozer. I want a bulldozer now. But I can't wait 'till it gets warmer. Next time I'm taking some friends,my bikini,and a pinic.
