You probably have noticed the pictures of bears I have in my profile, if you haven't I suggest you look. Not of course to be confused with my dads dog Burr, which is the big black one that looks like a bear. So one summer at camp we had this yearling bear roaming around camp in the spring. It was just over 200lbs but you wouldn't guess by its size, bears have 5x the muscle density of humans. So one evening I walked around the woodshed and I heard this scrambling noise and looked up the tree and there was the bear huffing. So I called guests over to see it and take some photos and video cause it was playing with the wind chimes hanging below it. Now some people would think this is totally reckless and insane but I have lived around bears almost all my life and know how to judge their mood and which situations to back off. A treed young bear isn't one of these because the bear is more frightened of you, unless of course the bear is less then a year old and then you had better get well away from there cause momma has got to be near buy and suffice it to say you do not want to get between a mother and her baby period. Any how it just wandered around camp for a month or so eating the sweet grass to ween its stomach from hibernation so I got some pretty good photos.
