I just wanted everyone to know that I had to have my cat put down today. He was nearly 15 years old and it looks like he developed acute kidney failure.

He was only unwell for just over a day, and in the end he had lost his purr. All he could do was sit there, he wouldn't eat, wouldn't do anything drink. But there was nothing that could be done for him. So we let him pass to the next world. Now he is at rest and we have a cat life time of fond memories of him.

Well I have been away at the weekend to a roman re-enactment weekend and I have to say that is was wonderful. I got to dress up in armour and learn to fight like a roman. Then I got to help display with the rest of the group to the public about how people really used to fight and I got to fight people who were dressed up as Britons.

There was also lots of roman food cooked for us all, and that was fantastic and very filling. Thought my only problem with roman food is the unfortunate fact that there was no chocolate!!

So overall I had a very good time, and some of the pictures are below for you to see!

Blog

OK I don't normally rant like this but this has really got me pissed! So I like to play netball, not a very manly sport, but I always prefered it to basketball for some reason. Anyway, I tried to play during school but could only go to the practice as proper games in leagues and stuff don't let guys play. Annoying but there was nothing I could do about it!

Now the hospital I work for has started up its own "fun league". Not connected with anything official. Different wards have there own teams who can play against each other regularly etc. So I put my name down for the ward I work on and everything was going OK. I went to practice today and low and behold, this obnoxious bitch (who organised it) tells me that she is not letting men play, as well they play differently, and she doesn't want them playing. Now she lets me play today as our team is short on numbers, but says that I can't come anymore.

Well I'm sorry I'm not going to stand for this. Its not affiliated, its not connected. There is no reason other than what this woman want. And the UK has laws to stop this form of discrimination. I'm going to chalange this. I'm not quite sure who too yet. But I know that this thing has funding and that sounds like a good place to start!

You would have thought that sexism like this was over in the world. How wrong we all are!

Drip, drip, drip
Slowly to the floor they fall
One after another.
And I watched with deep fascination

I watched as the rivulets formed
And quickly coalesced into droplets.
Slowly they flowed together
Finally forming drops, then.

Drip, drip, drip.
Slowly to the floor they fell
One after another.
And I watched with deep elation.

My flesh laid open
Crimson blood flowing free
Pain finally escaping
My soul set free.

Drip, drip, drip
Slowly to the floor they fell
One after another
And I watched with deep desolation.

I couldn't stop the cutting
Couldn't stop the compulsion
Wanted to slice and slice
Until there was no more skin.

And I watched with deep regret.

And tomorrow, I know
I will do it all again.
