Glare

I've been looking through the broken window.
Trying to see through the tint and glare.
Searching for the one thing I know isn't there.
But I need a place to look...I need a reason to survive.
I need to find my purpose.
Behind the curtain of my dreams it hides.

I try to wipe away the dirt and grime.
I look again through the window to an empty reasoning.
I look again...I look again.
A constant search...to which I fear there's no end.

Who Follows the Yellow Brick Road?


Who follows the yellow brick road?
The yellow brick road, long and narrow, with twists and turns.
No change in color or stone.
No one there to walk with you, you walk this road alone.
Who follows the yellow brick road?
Where does this road lead you, into a field of misconception?
Who follows the yellow brick road without a sense of direction?
With no red ruby slippers to protect you on the way.
With many troublesome creatures who watch every move you make.
You find yourself clinging to your hopes and dreams, from within a basket
they hide.
Who follows the yellow brick road when you may not even survive?
Who follows this yellow brick road called life?

Do you ever feel like you're not good enough? So many things in my life I wish I could do
better. Like my conversation skills...being able to actually tell the person I like that I like
them. And feel as though that person actually notices me... am I not good enough? Doing better at work even though I feel like I work my butt off. Why am I not good
enough? Doesn't it always seem that when you're trying your best that it never seems to
be enough.That when you do everything you can to improve yourself someone ALWAYS expects more! But then again I guess having people always expecting better or more from you is a way to push you to grow and succeed in life. But why is this process so painful? It's like trying to stretch your tongue to touch your nose...painful and seemingly
pointless. But in the end I suppose it would give you "some" sense of achievement. But I
guess it comes down to this...change and growth are the most painful processes in this
life...but in the end you come out to be a better person than when you started. Lets
just say that i'm going through my change and growth in life...just starting...painful...yet
....I know that i'll be better for it in the end. <3
