Charles Simic speaks tonight at 7:30 pm. I'm excited and just want to be there already! Also, I would love to leave this office and do not work for awhile. Especially since I have so much of it ahead of me. But, it does look like a working weekend. At least I got to watch last night's daily show.

Tired, tired, tired. The last time I got off a plane I landed myself directly into a sex party. Going directly back into work is not nearly as much fun. I have a test tomorrow I don't have notes for, an unresponsive instructor, and a ton of work I feel too tired to focus on. Sick for two weeks and out of town for another. All told I have been out of commission for three weeks and only now able to try to put the pieces back together. Oh, and lets not forget blackboard being down the two days I had the most time to get work turned in- the two days after the wedding before I flew home. I miss everyone in Jacksonville and don't feel ready to pick up my life here at home yet.

So, I got my first Creative Nonfiction Portfolio back today. Comments were much more positive than I expected. Grades were better than expected. So, I'm feeling a bit calmer now. I think all the time about dropping the class since I have so much work. But it is difficult for me to walk away from an opportunity to learn. So I just need to work harder.

Wire much? Less than an hour and a half until my homework is due. And of course I am here instead of completing it. Next time I need to wait to read my workshop responses until I have posted my own. Now all I can think about is how I should revise my poem rather than what I should be; how my peers can revise theirs. I am happy that I am not too delusional and that my group thought my poem was decent too. =)

Jesus That Woman. Just got the latest email from my Creative Nonfiction teacher. Verbose. Disorganized. Delusional. Clueless. Maybe I will write a poem about her. Funnel all my frustration into a homework assignment. Though, this week we are supposed to write a poem about love. How much I would love to kill her, perhaps?
