Floating -- Endlessly--
cold, hungry!
Hope filled.

Houses, mansions, growing--
green giant -- greeting!
reality--

(gold) sparkles fade:

shacks -- tents;
live!
new struggle --
old prosper:
smoke rises to sky
children starve.
New Age!
parties, music,
excitement.

(gold) sparkles.
locks cut.
skirts high!
Disaster:

(gold) sparkles disappear.

apples 5¢
drought, poverty --
New Year:
new plan, uncertainty:

~~Walking With The Devil~~

im walking with the devil
hes whispering in my ear
telling me to do bad things
says i should have no fear
no one cares about my life
so why should i care for theirs.

demons watching as i sleep
filling my head with madness
when i wake, i feel this pain
i want to stop the sadness

as i sit and cry tonight
he knows hes won the battle
he walks with me to the edge
i hesitate then stumble
he gives my a final push
my thoughts begin to jumble
i see now im in trouble--
too late, my soul is his

~~Tonight~~

here i stand
by the door
all my things
sprawled on the floor
i touch my hand
to my nose
and feel the blood
fall on my toes
you look at me
with angry eyes
just as the baby
starts to cry
you start to walk
toward her crib
you pick her up
and break her rib--
as you yell at her
to stop crying
i look at my child
and see her dying
i try to make you
put her down
but you throw me
to the ground
i begin to stumble
to my feet
and yell at you
to take me to beat
you put her down
and grab my wrist
pull your hand
into a fist
i close my eyes
i know whats coming
i touch my face
as it starts numbing
i fall to the floor
and you start to kick
i silently wish
you'd make it quick
but then you stop
and leave the room
but i know
you'll be back soon
i crawl to my baby
and hold her close
then i realize
theres no breath from her nose--
i close my eyes once more
i have no more reason to live
so i ask god
this one gift to give
let me die tonight
so everything
will be alright
