I dreamed that I found my husband to be was cheating on me with my best friend. I walked through the crowd of people at my wedding. There was only silence. I was crying black mascara tears, my dress was a long white taffeta monster that crushed my body like a boa constrictor. I walked out the double doors and down the stairs to the beach. I took off my ugly white shoes and dropped them in the sand. I walked slowly and evenly to the waters edge. I thought about the storms and sea gods and stones and brand new. I thought a thousand thoughts. I stepped into the blue-green-grey and just continued walking. I felt no cold I saw no sharks. I walked until my dress weighed me down and I sunk like a stone. I don't even remember my lungs filling up.
When I woke up, I woke up sad. I knew this was just a premonition to the relationship I wanted to start. And once again my dreams proved true. I sunk into the sea. Brand New said it best when they said " I'm sinking like a stone in the sea, I'm burning like a bridge for your body."
