So this is one of those days where I feel like I am walking in a vortex of nothingness... Like a lost butterfly in a dry desert looking for a flower to land on and rest her wings, but no relief is in sight, and it seems like this desert walk will take forever and never end. I am looking for my oasis in the desert, my moon in a midnight sky, my sun hiding behind an endless span of clouds on a rainy day. Will I ever find my oasis, my moon, my sun? Will I trudge on forever in a sea of dry and harsh desert sand? When is it my turn to find the end of the rainbow, the silver lining, the light at the end of a dismal tunnel? Is this poetry or a heartfelt plea? I do not know, and I don't really care, I just want to find my little bit of happiness that is all my own, that I don't have to share or hide myself from. I no longer want to live my life in the shadows, I long to see light and be free....
