This is the first tale of the derelict space mongrel Tryg.

Intro/Backstory (rough draft)

Decades have passed since mankind's first contact with extraterrestrial visitors. Humans had already swarmed the solar system, probing into every corner of floating rock. The planetary systems could not support such a prodigious species. Always in need of more. Wars broke out, entire colonies erased.

War had scarred much of the habitable territories. An end to the violence was needed before the extermination of the human race. Most countries, after nearly fifty years of conflict, sought nothing more than victory. No other option but utter dominance was available. The last hope for humanity lay with Germany, and her latest ship, FGS New Dawn.

The New Dawn took nearly all of the country's resources. It was a truly a last ditch effort for the peoples of Germany. The plan for this ship was simple. Using an experimental worm hole generator, take a colony of people, and head for the nearest star system. This ship was at the forefront of spacefaring technology. Humans had been able to rip the space time fabric for years now, but never have they been able to send something through... in one piece anyhow.

The New Dawn, laden with supplies and passengers, groaned as the captain fired up the worm hole generator. If it didn't work, it was still a better death than what awaited them at home...

This is where our story begins. Thirty seven years later aboard New Dawn. Where Tryg, now twenty seven, is awakened by thundering clash on the proud hull of the ship.
