MY PUPPY TALES...story two:

After living in Denver for a year, Brian decided to move back to San Diego to go to school. Unfortunately, a few months after I had moved him back to SD, I had to drive out there to pick him up. He had some health issues and would not be able to continue his schooling there.

Anyway, when I arrived in SD, I stayed with my daughter for a few days before driving back to Denver with Brian. While there, I had found that her boyfriend had given her a cute Yorkie puppy she had named Cloud. She was having a very difficult time training him and was talking about selling him. She was torn because she loved him so much, but she just didn't know what else to do.

Well, I bet you can guess what happened. In the short time I was there, I became very attached to him. He was so cute and adorable. I proposed to Gina that I take him back to Denver with me. I figured he would make a great companion for Chachee (since I work long hours) and he would still be part of "our" family, which I knew would make Gina feel better.

So Cloud made the 16hour drive back to Denver with us. He did not like to be in his "purse kennel" at all. He ended up riding most of the way on my lap or on the floor by Brian's feet. He actually did very well. Chachee and Cloud were instant friends!

I will make one more comment about Cloud. Gina had named him Cloud because, when he was little, he was fluffy like a cloud. When he came to live with me, it became quite obvious that his name should be Houdini! Let me tell you that I have NEVER seen a dog that can escape like he can! He jumped right over the doggie gates I had so I bought taller ones. Then he squeezed through the bars on those, even though it is physically impossible because of his size. I could go on and on and on with these kinds of stories LOL, but I won't. Just know that "Houdini" is a very appropriate nickname for Cloud!

I just love my little Yorkshire Terrier, Cloud. We ALL are very happy together! =D

MY PUPPY TALES...story one:

When we moved to Denver, Renee wanted to get a "show" dog. She was very excited to raise a dog and train him for dog shows. She did a lot of research on breeds and finally decided that she wanted to get a Toy Fox Terrier. She located a breeder in Denver, before we even moved, and kept in contact with her.

Once there was a litter available, she was online trying to decide which one she wanted. She decided on one, but, unfortunately, the one she chose was the runt and did not make it. She was then faced with the dilemma of choosing another one. It was not an easy decision, but she did make a choice.

Over the next weeks, we went to the breeder's home to visit her new puppy. She was soooooo very excited and, yes, the puppy was absolutely adorable and very, very small. We took lots and lots of pictures and Renee would play with him so he would be familiar with her.

Finally the day came when we could pick him up and take him home. I swear, Ney was so excited!!! We drove to the breeder's home one final time and brought home a new little puppy. Ney had gone all out and had prepared a fantastic "home" for him in the basement with her. She named him Liberace but we nicknamed him, "Chachee".

Needless-to-say, over the next several months, Ney found out just how much work having a little puppy was. In addition, it became quite evident that Chachee was not a "show quality" dog...he simply didn't have the right markings. So, eventually, Chachee began to live upstairs with me. In fact, Ney gladly "gave" him to me (which meant I was now responsible for his care lol). I happily took up that task!

I just love my little Toy Fox Terrier, Chachee. We are very happy together! =D
