I've just had a marvelous afternoon (that stretched well into the evening). My friend and I went to the movies to see Mamma Mia based on the musical (which is based on ABBAs music) - opening day.
The movie is a comedy and if you like(d) ABBAs music you'll most certainly enjoy the movie. The storyline has nothing to do with ABBA as a group or the individual members. It's like a spiders web, where the knots are songs that connects the (story)line.

I'm the kind of person who memories lyrics and drives my family crazy because I do sing just about every song playing on the radio - and I mean from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and now. Try sitting next to me at the movies where I have to mouth every lyric in order not to start singing out loud... I have to get this as a dvd. There's just no other way.

Anyway, the movie stars Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and the wonderful Colin Firth - better known as Mr. Darcy (or just plain Darcy). And yes, they sing. And yes, it's not perfect and it's not something to bragg about, but it's still good!

Meryl Streep performs "The winner takes it all". And I just liked the way she performed it. I admit that it doesn't sound good in this youtube video - but her acting out the words really made me like this part of the movie the most.

I was just "surfing" HP and stumbled across the FAQ (- very logically found under the Help menu). It's quite a useful set of Q&As.
For instance it explains the thumbing, that the pet-action is equivalent to poking, and very handy - how you can disable your HP account if you decide to leave this place.

Personally, I've been here less than a week, but I interact more with strangers on HP than I do on Facebook (which is my entry point to this neck of the www). Perhaps the most useful tip I got from the FAQ was this - begin quote:
I want it faster.
Use the standalone site at HumanPets.com. It's much faster. You can link your Facebook account too, so you keep all of your pets and points.

End quote.
I did that. Not that I think it's slow when run in Facebook, but because the Facebook sidebar is gone and the layout is somewhat simplified.

Woot - after posting this, I then returned to the robot swarm-herd - and it's a whole new world *clap* music. Ohh, what wonders. I did see the discussions towards good thumbing music - but I thought it was either a joke or a reference to linking to a youtube video.
