You were the centre of my world. When you passed away, I would gladly have taken your place,- but I couldn't leave you here alone.
I wanted to go with you- but you made me promise to stay.
The best of our time together- and why I loved you most, was the child inside you who tested my strenght and my patience, and forced me to live and love to the full.
You charmed me with your love of flowers, animals and teddy-bears.
Your simple honesty amazed me and your child-like belief in 'fair play' drove me to distraction.
You were 'Mum' to so many people, and you mothered me in many ways;
but, to me ,you were always four years old.
You held my heart like a child holds a butterfly in the palm of your hand-and
you never crushed it.
You were the best of my life and I will always treasure each day and each memory
we shared together.
