There are those days where all seems well. You haven't had any thing particularly bad occur, but neither has there been anything spectacular. I call these moods meloncholy. I am suffering from meloncholy and am sick of feeling so blah.

'My butt itches.' Caroline awoke herself with this thought. 'Why do my feet hurt? And my leg is asleep.' Opening her eyes, she notices a man’s face inches from hers, their breaths mingling. She has a short inner scream followed by a quick mental argument over the benefits of sitting up with a shriek as opposed to staying very, very still. She opts for the latter. Studying his features, she notes the raven wing black hair falling gently across his smooth forehead, resting over a clean browline. Their gazes held for a long three seconds before the stranger let out an unmanly yelp and attempted to ungracefully extract himself from the sheets. This resulted in him toppling backwards off the bed onto Caroline’s clothing-strewn bedroom floor. She scoots over a few inches to peer over the edge of the queen bed. This was a new experience. A surprised, handsome stranger waking up just as confused as she was as to their predicament.

Inevitably, dishes break. Especially when thrown at someone's head regardless if they connect with the intended target. Lutheus, my intendend target, simply continued his avoidance manuevers, much to my further irritation. Panting, I reach for another plate as I determinedly keep the table between myself and Lutheus' placating attempts. Plate in hand, I attempt a threatening gesture coupled with the order, "Stop right there. No, seriously! Stop moving darn you!"

Lutheus ignores my pathetic orders and resumes his consoling tatics. "Cora, you mad creature, just calm yourself! You going to aggrivate your injury furt.." He's interrupted by a cup shattering beside his left ear. Lutheus doesn't even flinch but keeps his golden gaze steadily on my own brown. He stealthily circles the table, trying to corner me and in my limping state, he shouldn't really be finding it to be such a task, no matter how terrible my aim. As I reach for another projectile weapon, my ankle twists and it's all I can do not to cry out as my weight drops. I clutch a chair to keep from falling completely over and as my vision clears on Lutheus triumphant and concerned expression. His hand has clamped onto my elbow, both restraining and supportive. Murmering soothingly, he leads me to sit. I bite back a rude comment and focus on stretching my poor sore ankle.
