I am tired of everyone being sick. First I was sick. I got over it and Jen and Bryce got sick. They got over it and now me and Bryce are sick. The funny thing is, it isn't like we are even passing it back and forth. Each one of them seems to be something different. UGH....

I have been trying to redo my 75 gallon aquarium, and things just keep happening. I am trying to get some horseface loaches, but the store hasn't been able to get them the past two times they ordered. My plants were unable to ship last week because the guy couldn't "get in" to the office, so they will ship out today or tomorrow. The apistos I bought on Monday of last week, didn't ship until Monday of this week. And the list just keeps going and going. I guess it all happens for a reason, but I can't wait to get this thing done.

Well, last night I was sitting here at home after spending some time out with my mom and kids. As soon as she gets home, she calls me to tell me that her little corgi mix had chewed up the bottle of her sleeping pills and eaten the pills. This dog is little bitty, and ate 25 sleeping pills. The ASPCA poison control center told the vet that this was the 4th strongest dose they have on file. Thankfully Coco is doing much better this morning. The last time I talked to mom, she said that they told her Coco was sitting in her cage, but not up standing yet. But compared to last night, that is a 1000 times better than what she was like. It looks like she is going to be ok. It would have been very hard on mom since she lost dad two months ago to the day this happened.

Well, I got my power back, and as happy as I am about that, I am sad. I lost a lot of my fish. At least $300 worth of fish. I have one tank now that is so empty that I have to figure out what I am going to do with it. I don't know if I will keep it with this type of fish, or get rid of what I have left and turn it into something else. Guess I have a little while to think about it since I won't do anything until I make sure I don't lose power again from the storm that is coming through in a couple days. They are calling for up to 13 inches of snow with this new system, so that could cause problems all over again. <>

OK, so here I am bored, feeling like I live at home again because I have no power and am staying with my mom. Not that I mind being over here, because we get along great, but it feels like I am imposing and my family is at least partially an inconvenience. It is much better for us to be here than to be at my in-laws though. Hopefully we will have our power back up and running before too long. I am really worried about my fish tanks. They have made it before with no power, but then it was warm. There is no heat for them and I am worried about them getting cold. It was 53 degrees in the house today when I stopped by, and on tank was still about 68 - 70 degrees, but that is a bit on the cool side. Last time it was 4 days with no power and it is supposed to get into single digits tomorrow. The cat was not too happy about being left alone with the dogs. When I walked in the house he was hissing at me like crazy. Fun fun. Oh well, guess I will get back to the kiddos for now.
