Have missed all of my wonderful friends here while I've been away. My status now is post op...had surgery 10/29/10...complete with a plate, pins & a bone graft in my left wrist. Thank you everyone who has left me messages and for your concern and well wishes. I hope to be back thumbing very soon!! *((Hugs))*

Well, the latest on my wrist. Not healing properly, so I have to have surgery to have a plate put in my wrist this week, probably Friday. Thank you for the prayers and well wishes, they are very much appreciated :)

This isn't really a tale. Just to let my friends know that I haven't been around much lately, dealing with a broken wrist at the moment. I hope everyone has been well and I hope to be around more often very soon :)

A friend of my younger sister has been fighting cancer. She thought she had it beat...but recently found out that it's back. She inspires me so much. I get caught up in a lot of little things in my life, that seem big to me at the moment, but when you take a step back and see what others are going through...my "big" problems really aren't that big. So many of my family and some very special friends and people in my life...yes, even here on HP are fighting cancer. I wanted to share Beth's story, for every person that has dealt with cancer either personally or having to watch some one you know...love, care about go through it.

~ December 08 I found out I had lung cancer. I was blessed enough to have caught it early by removing most of my right lung and to be in the best city in the world to get sick. I am going through the preventative phase of care right now. I am not defined by cancer or any of the trials we all go through. I am defined by the purpose God created me to be here on earth. If a cat has nine lives, I have 10. It is going to be one amazing road I am going to get to take and I cannot wait to see where it takes me. Do not miss a thing because you cannot get it back. I used to spend a lot of time worrying but the best thing I ever did was to give that over to GOD. I am learning to live in the moment and not miss a minute of love the world has to offer. PEACE OUT :)

In the last few days I have been rediagnosed with bronchioaveolar carcinoma which is the same kind of cancer I had in 08. In the next few days ahead I along with my family will be meeting with the doctors to determine what the best treatment will be for my cancer this time. I will be facing surgery or a combination of radiation and chemotherapy. There are more tests and decisions to be made.

I do not know what I face in the days, weeks and months ahead but I do know I am blessed to live in Houston, Texas and have access to MD Anderson. Be a prayer warrior. Love your family. Hug your children and your parents every chance you get. Never let a chance go by to tell someone you love them. Live every day as though it was your last and your best. Every time you want to feel sorry for me, don't! Be happy that I have friends and family that love me the way you do. How can you support me? For those that know me, you know better than I do. Just ask....:)
