Upon an urge, the peephole beckoned to be turned.
Presenting a moment to know, to sure the observed
Through veil of day, whispers promised of love without decay -

I Remember the First Time

Swimming in an endless sea,
Of noodles and monosodium glutamate,
I remember the first time i tried XTC.
I remember the first LSD.
Brief memories of the first DMT -
Oh the wonder of divine chemistry
Dissolving all I knew to be me
Setting me sail upon the sea
On a voyage of discovery
Not for land, but to be free
To escape the flaws of the factory
And the punch card of eternity.
But how long can I be at sea?
These freakish storms strike and suddenly
I can barely hold and run to hide
below the decks, at least absolved of pride.
Without cause without course
Waves anger curls a bladed crest
And cuts a heavy slash, torn apart, broken in heart
Mind resigned, hopeless to find, drifting, clinging raft.
Treading the misery of salty chemistry, parched and thirsty
A one eyed turtle came to me and sung so joyously
As to mesmerise and behold me urging
Confidently a trust to steer comfortably ashore
Where I may sing a turtle's song
To soothe and right any wrong.

Aphrodite's Blaze

So the sun rose
upon the earth,
warming and drawing
all to look upon.
fixed in their gaze
blinded by the rays
dreams began to empathise
with beauty without lies.

For in the light of day
The darkness cannot prevail
and hides in shadow
behind the luminated
yearning to hold the sun
within their palm
for a moments peace,
still and calm.

But as sure as it rises,
surely it demises
and darkness floods:
chilling bloods;
Palms once open,
pool in darkness;
frozen in the wasteland
of their harsh starkness.
