Again that vision of the endless shore,
Bring on the brutality of endless tide.
I haven’t had enough yet, I’ll stick around,
The endless and everlasting is not earned without pain.
Bring on the worst, so I can stand and not break,
Give me another reason to find who I really am.
Temper my soul and burn me alive,
I will never give in, for I’m stronger than you decide.
The true man does not break when he knows something is real,
He does not forfeit when the battle is just begun.
Suffering, pain, and sorrow, are all that will soon be found,
For this battlefield is the most wretched, betraying, and twisting of all.
I know not the outcome, and I care not,
My heart is hardened for the fray to fall to either side.
I stand, not alone, facing the sun,
And the sky fills with the echoes of others who won.
I feel their blood renewed coursing through my veins,
I draw in one last breath of peace, and begin my path.
A small battle ahead in the quest for immortality,
Again to the breach on these shores of destiny.
