Hi Karen, thank you for your message. Cheryl was for sure a wonderful woman and adjusting to life without her has been really, really difficult. Cheryl got sick suddenly on March 9th with a respiratory infection that resulted in a blood infection. She was a fighter and tried really hard to overcome the infection, but unfortunately her heart couldn't manage the added stress. I don't know if you knew but Cheryl was a lung cancer survivor and only had one lung. Her heart had been under a lot of stress for many years and was unable to tolerate the additional stress. She was in ICU for a week before it all became too much for her heart to manage. Her sister and I were with her when she died - holding her and telling her how much she was loved. I know she knew we were there with her. I know Cheryl had many on-line friends and would be comforted to know you cared. Thank you!
