I dont write poetry cus im shit at it, but clearing out my bedroom cupboard i just found something i wrote yrs ago, that i can still relate to and has just bought tears to my eyes, it might not make sense to anybody else but to me it describes me to a T: Why is it when i reach, i reach not for whats right there,
but for the unobtainable
Why is it easier to live a lie
Im like a deer that subconsciously knows its been hunted,
but does nothing and carries on drinking.
Why try and fly with broken wings
And build a fortress that 7 Army's could never enter
Why get tangled in emotion and deceit, never finding a way out
Why swim to deep water, where the tide is too strong
Why be a deer in the headlights, when the obtainable is there, but not knowing in which direction to run.
One day i will be a Peacock
Proud of my colours.
