Here comes Christmas....and with it all the joy of trying to get your ex to be reasonable and actually let you see your child over the festive period.

Since August I have been trying to get this sorted, and finally, FINALLY, on the 18th of December, with a week to go, I have some sort of a plan. However, knowing the DLC as I do, I can't help but think it's all going to go horribly wrong at some point in the next 7 days.

And please, don't ask me what 'DLC' stands for, it's very rude and offensive and the only reason I use the term is that I can vent the frustration a bit...sorry if that means you think any the worse of me, sometimes I just have to deal with stuff.

Another weekend done, another collection of knocks to show for it.

Of little surprise as I spent most of the match being bent in half.

Now, if you know me you'll know what a dramatic statement the next one is....

I did not enjoy the game.

No, really I didn't. I was in the wrong position up against well drilled, very powerful opponents whose sole goal seemed to be to snap me in half. I was shattered after 20 minutes of this. Imagine how I felt after 80 minutes of it.

The only good to come out of the whole day was a very decent pint of Guiness at full time. Not a total loss then.

I really must make sure I go to the gym more often - I've been dipping out of it for about two weeks, and all of a sudden even the simplest thing is too much like hard work.

Like stairs.

I mean, isn't that the meanest thing ever? Put the gym up some stairs. Like if you can manage the stairs, you can come in, you are fit and beautiful enough to enter. If you can't manage the stairs, crawl back to your couch and eat pizza, fatty!

Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but it was a lot harder than I am used to at the gym last night, and it's only because there's been far too many other things to do.

Maybe it's because it's the festive season?

Maybe that's an excuse...

Maybe I should stop self analysing and just get over the fact that I haven't been as much as should have, and now my thighs ache, and it's all my fault.

Rugby tomorrow, gym on Tuesday and Thursday, gotta get the routine back again...
