Otaku (おたく or オタク, Otaku?) is a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, and video games.
The Otaku's are a breed that are wide-spread throughout the world. The can be found on all continents of the globe. They are social and can be found in groups as large ten in one herd. These Otaku's will stick close to on an other and can be seen in tight group in the lunchroom at school, siting together in a bookstore by the graphic novel section, and even at the malls together. During special days pf the year they can be found in very large groups where they gather to connect with others of there species for social comfort. They spend their days socializing, feeding off of various foods and even dressing up for these days.
They can vairy from being easy to spot or elusive by the manner the dress. Some only wear clothes depicting there favorite character from the Anime (japanese cartoons) they watch. Buttons, pins, book bags, include their dress as well. Some will dress normally and you may not know they are an Otaku until you take to them. Their hair maybe be a different, not normal color such as blue, bright red, black, or even orange. Hair cuts are either cut cuts and punky, or bland and long. It is hard to tell other normal looking ones are in fact Otaku's sometimes. They want to camouflage themselves to other predators into thinking they are one of them to avoid unwanted confrontation.
If they 'Meow' randomly they may be an Otaku. If they have little toys or plushie, they may be an Otaku. They may be hyper or calm, loud or quiet. They may speak in languages they don't really know, only a few sentences or phrases for most. Some draw pictures or comics. Some carry a book with them at all times.
If you wish to find one of these Otaku's in your area look carefully. Study up on the internet about them. Read some Manga (japanese comics) and learn what it is about. Watch young women who gather together closely and see what they brought. A pile of books, and few cute pens. A manga? They might be Otaku's.
So, you've read a few mangas, watched some anime. Think your ready to approach them? Do not jump in just yet. Watch them without being seen. Study there habits. They might be frightened or suspicious if you simply walk up to them. Try reading a manga near them and see if they invite you over to their group. If not, do not despair just yet. Give it time. You will find yourself within them someday. But do not join unless you either want to study them enough to become one of them. If they find out you don't really like Manga, you might find yourself kick out harshly.
Their predators are, popular people who make fun of them. Jocks who harass and torture them of there things. Parents who don't understand them. Teachers who scold them for reading during class.
