Herd Profile: ALTERNATIVE CLASSIX
INTRODUCTION: This is a herd dedicated to alternative music classics. By alternative I mean music that you won't generally find being played on any mainstream radio station. This could include punk, gothic, metal, indie, grunge & even certain rock. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE AIM: By starting this herd, I'm hoping to be able to compile a chart of what HP users rate the greatest alternative tracks of our time. In order to do this, I need your assistance & you will, in turn, be rewarded with any thumbs that you pick up from other member's votes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HOW IT WORKS: Each member will be allowed up to SEVEN posts at a time. The member may post again once 3 other members have posted or 24 hours has elapsed. These posts must take the form of song titles & artists/groups that the member believes is worthy of a place in Alternative Music's Classic Chart. Once posted, it will be up to other members to decide whether the song deserves its place by thumbing it. In other words, members ONLY THUMB THE SONGS THEY ENJOY! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RULES: *Only SEVEN POSTS at once per member. These posts must be made up of seven DIFFERENT artists. You may post again once 3 other members have posted their SEVEN posts or 24 hours have passed. *If somebody else is busy posting WAIT until they have completed their SEVEN posts OR 5 MINUTES has elapsed before starting to post. *Thumb ONLY the songs you enjoy. *Any songs not receiving THREE thumbs will be deleted once it has gone past page 10. Any thumbs it did receive will not be counted when charts are compiled. *A post will be individually deleted after 7 days. A record will be kept of all deleted posts' thumbs &, once deleted, any song may be reposted. *Duplicated songs will be deleted & the thumbs they have accrued will NOT be included in the calculations. So go through each page before posting. *A chart will be compiled on a weekly basis, thus showing members which songs have been most popular. The chart will be based on total thumbs received by any specific song. *Decisions made by admin/leaders is final. If a song is deemed too commercial it will be deleted. For example ... post Britney Spears & the post will be deleted & you will be BANNED! *Each member will be allowed an additional post before or after their 7 songs. In other words 8 posts per session. Topics are available for chat, questions, herd advertising, suggestions etc within the discussion section. *Example of the format to be used when posting: *Song Title - Artist* Please stick to this format. *This herd is private and your profile will be checked prior to your acceptance. In other words, if you have Christina Aguilera all over your profile, don't expect to be accepted! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please invite your fellow followers of decent music to apply for membership of this herd too.
