Welcome to the Debate Herd.
There are a couple of rules YOU MUST conform (I love that word) to, in order to be/stay a part of this herd. The first part is, you are NOT allowed to attack a person for their opinion. You may attack the opinion only. Keep in mind that the true art of debate has little to do with your personal opinions, and more to do with the ability to understand and confront both sides of an issue. The person speaking may NOT necessarily believe in what they are saying. Any hits below the belt will be deleted immediately and that member will be removed/blacklisted from taking part here.
The second thing is, we will debate ONLY ONE topic at a time. The reason for this is simply the format of the herd discussion rooms. Multiple subjects will get too messy to follow. New subjects will be declared by either Samantha Challand or myself periodically. We will try to make sure a debate has died down prior to posting a new one. If you have a subject you would like discussed, kindly contact myself or Samantha via messages and we will take that into consideration. Any posts regarding old topics, once a new one has been declared, will be deleted.
Oh, and it’d be great if you would remember to thumb people in here too!
