Once in a while I'm hearing another employer or manager, complaining on tv about one of the biggest general problems with employees these days: that they don't do managing. That they don't take over an ownership of the work, show competence, that they're not creative and don't think out of the box. At the same time, in the same days, having any kind of personality is not recommended for a "common employee". Doing too much thinking is not recommended. Showing any noticable amount of sanity, awareness, are not recommended. It is not entirely valid to shoot your own foot and then complain to the rest of the world that you can't dance too well.

I kind of don't get the corporate representatives, talking about their major losses, due to the people copying the records or smoking the black market cigarettes. They're not losing that money - they're only not earning it.

As for the choices between staying alone, gardening your own world, and having some people around - I believe by a long shot you always need both, whatever kind of human you are. Need your own world to have something to share with people. Need people to share your world with someone. Lack of one half takes the sense away from another.

Looking at the artificial reality in an idiot box I'm finding it really sad, what they did to Milli Vanilli 20 years ago. It seems that today they'd have a wide range of choices. Like whether they'd want to computer-process their voices to sound like Pavarobotti, or whether they'd want to photoshop the actual singers to look like the unshaved handsomes from the gilette ads. The only difference between what they did and what Britney-like craps do now, is that it had some fuckin' melody.

Shouldn't listening to hiphop be considered fencing?
