In life we burn bridges, and make our own hell
In many ways, our souls we sell
He was a man, independent and strong
Punishing himself for all past wrongs
The eldest of many siblings, the last still alive
To the bitter end, to suborn to die
He battled and denied the Angel of Death
Defiant unto his final breath
Many have poured out to morn his passing
Thinking his life was everlasting
Eighty one years, never needing a soul
Refusing to admit, even the strong grow old
To you dear James, may your God see you well
You've paid your debt, and are now free of your Hell
Go in peace, you will be missed by many
Fond memories we all have, great and plenty
Your "poison" was vodka, so i now drink a shot
All your past transgressions have now been forgot

Tiss a sad day today all. My grandfather James William McClelland passed away. He lived a long life of 81 years, was a war time vet, and cabinet maker. We passed away quietly, this after noon. We've know for 2 weeks it was coming. Just thought I would do him an honorable mention online. "That damn computer TV thing, he could never understand..."

In this world, there are many things of wonder and beauty. From ancient structures which defy even modern means, to natural scenes that boggle the mind. But the greatest treasure, the greatest beauty we as humans have, is the one thing we take most for granted. We use it untill we are tired of it, then cast it carelessly away. we treat it like a trophy, or prize to be coveted, in the face of others. Then in private we treat it as an old rug, to be walked on and worn away. I too at a young age was guilty of this sin, I claim no immunity. In my later years I have found that in order to truly appreciate this beauty, one must accept it, but do there best to not understand it. This beautiful creation, given to us from the heavens, was never meant to be understood. This beauty was meant to be charished, and loved, and even worshiped. We have somehow lost sight of that over the many years of our evolution. I believe Michael Creamo said it best, when he coined the phrase, Human De-Evolution. The further we evolve in science, the more we become entrapped in money and power. Losing sight of the true meanings of life and beauty. Let us think of the word beauty. When referenced it is almost always in reference to a female. When a man brags on his car, house, bike, or big screen TV, he uses the phrase, "She's a Bute ain't she?" There is a reason for this. That's right, my entire subject of this rant, is WOMEN. Beauty can be found in every one of them. They are what makes the world go round. "Behind every good man.... is a good woman." Now many men would say that is referencing the women being second. This is not true. It is the good woman, that keeps the good man on track. They say that we are made in the image of the divine creator, but yet everyone refers to the creator as "God", a male figure. Hmmm, well okay then, for every guy out there that believe the creator is solely male, I'd like those guys to go and create a life. Go on..... I'll wait...........

That's my point, you can't. We take part, as men, in the initial creation, but it is women who do the majority of the wok. It is their bodies that change, and they burden the load of carrying the life until the time of birth. Then they go through hell to bring that life into this world. My point here is, women are more like the creator than we are. There for the creator must be a woman, or "Goddess". As such I believe every woman has a bit of Goddess in them. They should be allowed to let that inner Goddess out. be worshiped and be adored. That is why I write my poems for them. Not to get points, or to flirt, but to show them there is someone who understands. Yes ladies, good men are not extinct. Many will say that this whole rant is a ploy to gain women's favor, nothing could be further from the truth. Any woman who knows me, knows I understand their inner beauty. So guys, i am telling you to head my words, and respect your personal Goddess. You'll find that in doing so, she may even worship you as her "God"......
