i paint...last semester i had to come up with an original poster, something reflecting a belief which could influence others. after a little thought i decided to use my body to capture the eyes of others.
after purchasing 2 cole black poster paper boards i went home to paint my flesh red.. i loved the feeling of the cool paint running down my skin. it took a couple tries but i finely got the poster the way i planned. i used my fingernails to put lines on my body before pressing the paper to me skin. the outcome left a red image of my body.. which boldly stands out on the black poster board. the lines represent pain.. it is after all about rape.. something we here about much yet happens daily throughout the country. i really enjoyed to project and hope it did make a slight difference if nothing else.
