in other news, i am reading keats at the moment. i am usually quite resistant to keats, as i align myself as a byronist and a shelleyan over, as lord b did pen, 'the mental masturbation' of keats. perhaps the lord was wrong though...

because i am a librarianpet, i shall detail books here still. right now, i am reading "disgrace" by j.m. coetzee. i like to claim him as an australian nobel prize winner, but if we are going to be honest, he's South African, and only recently became an australian citizen relatively recently.
the only other work of his i have read was 'elizabeth costello', and i have to say, 'disgrace' is proving to be very interesting. he has a sharpness of style i enjoy, but it is the complexity of the people, the relationships, and the desolation that he evokes that is capturing me, two chapters in.
