I am so seriously, seriously depressed right now. We put my dog to sleep last night. She was 15, and sick, but I feel like I betrayed her. There's so much guilt weighing on my conscience that I don't know what to do. I can't stop crying, and I know it'll get better, but it hurts so bad. I haven't even cried this hard over people that have died. I never thought I could be so attached to an animal, but she was my little Sheba. We got her when my parents got divorced, so there was this extra special bond. She slept in my bed every single night, followed me everywhere, and ate all my food.

Now I'm just sitting here, alone, in this godforsaken house just waiting to hear the tick of her toenails on the floor; waiting for her to walk over to me wagging her little tail; waiting to hear her bark at absolutely nothing. I want her back ..........

R.I.P. Sheba, my little babygirl ... 11.17.08 ... always in my heart. <3
