LIBRARIAN...EASY OR NOT??
Okay some people seem to think I have a really easy job and tend to make fun of it! Well its not that easy being a librarian, I could very easily get a paper cut...were a bandage could be required. And there is a chance I could die of boredom...I know its never happened but I could be the first?
Or deal with very cranky people who feel they don't have to return their books on time... but then get VERY pissy with me when they get late charges! Since when is it my fault that you never brought back your book?! Or your dog eat the damn thing...and you feel that you don't have to buy the book, because it was your dog, not you. I really don't care...pay your fines people! I don't make the rules I just have to enforce them. The funny thing is the people that make the rules, sit behind a desk and never deal with the public.
Then today as I was unpacking boxes of books and shelving them...just to let you know, I'm only 5 ft tall, so I'm reaching up with a pile of books to the top shelf and the f'n thing decides to break right at that moment! So there I was on the floor covered in books...trying not to swear like a sailor. I'm sure I did let a few slip...Can you tell I'm having one of those days?!
But for the most part I do love my job and its great!! I guess it ain't that bad being a librarian...but we have our bad days too!! I feel better...
