My endless lover...(this poem is written in response to my friend Derek Day's poem The Sea Mistress...check out his tales it's amazing!)
I stand alone on a bleak stretch of sand
Then suddenly I feel you take my hand.
I smile and feel the sun on my face
My heart is finally free from this place.
You whisper sweet songs in my ear
Drawing me forward without fear.
My feet leave the sand to feel your kiss
There's nothing here for me to miss.
I am mesmerized by your cold caress
And your beautiful sparkling, azure dress.
Your cool, wet kisses cover my face
You pull me into your strong embrace.
With one look behind I hesitate, then
Returning your kiss I seal my fate.
I bind my soul to you forever
Mistress of the sea, my endless lover.
