Well it all started back in October 2007 on Facebook. I added Sarah on ‘Are You Interested’ and started talking on a friend level. I think Sarah was flirting with me right from the off and it took a while for me to cotton on what she was doing!! lol. Once I realised we stepped up a level and actually started dating online which has its disadvantages as we had never actually met, that is until Feb 2008 when Sarah flew over and we meet in the airport for the first time. We had had this strong attraction online before we met and both knew things could go further.. and it the airport emotions took over as when we saw each other for the first time she dropped her bags and run over as I did to her meeting in the middle with a 5 minute session of kissing and hugging and closely exploring each others bodies to see what we actually felt like having only previously seen a flat computer screen view... Well it was more like fatal attraction and we spend the best part of 2 weeks never more than about 3 feet away from each other!!!. We did actually visit places in London and Stonehenge too, as Sarah was keen on English history as he watches the Tudors... Time went very quick in those 2 weeks and we both knew how we felt when we had to part at the airport. Sarah managed to hold back the tears but I was not so lucky... I felt then that I had met my future and did not want her to go back without knowing what we were going to do next...

Well she did fly back she had too, but now we had the knowledge we were very much in-love and what were we going to do about it with 6500 miles between us.. The internet was only a short term fix and after our 2 week experience was not quite enough any more. The only cure was to meet up again and live together, and this happened in September 2008 after a long drawn out and painful internet spell with us both so wanting to be in each others arms. Its amazing just how good a hug feels when you are apart for 7 months...and this time it was the real deal!!! we were going to be together for 4 months, and being honest it was so special I could not have asked for a better time, I had in the back of my mind that I had to make this girl mine for all time!! and not just a girl friend...

I had booked a weeks break in Scotland in October and just knew the exact way to make it special.... And after a whole year of knowing this wonderful girl it happened, in a grand hall inside Stirling Castle a place where kings and queens had been, I went down on one knee and proposed to Sarah.. She accepted and we both instantly felt like we were floating in the air together with a warm glowy feeling too. We could not keep our hands off each other the whole day it was for me one of my best moments ever!!!.. Time past quickly at is always does when we are together.. Halloween came and went so did Fireworks night then Christmas, and finally the New Year and the time of Sarah’s calling.. and her need to return home, I thought this time would be harder to say good bye, but due to the fact we had to get up at 3 in the morning and the battle on the roads to get to the airport, being a major issue, it seemed to calm us at the point of saying good bye. We parted in the airport in a non-emotional state.. It was not till the journey home and the eventual entry to the house that I realised she was not about... it was then very hard to cope.. I tend to cope with most things in life by throwing myself at my job as I have less time to worry about things... But this time was different this time we were engaged and it was not enough, we needed to step up the game... We needed to get married!!!

A month before Sarah’s return to the US she had booked me a flight out there to follow her and meet her family with the added intention to be married... So about 5 weeks after I had said good bye to her I flew alone for 12 hours over a 3rd of the globe just to be by her side. Having never done anything like this before I was quite worried that I could do it, and it was only the fact I was going for Sarah and getting married that gave me the push to do it.. Well I got there just fine and touching down in San Antonio about 8pm US Central time. I was warmly greeted by my new and loving family and of course my future wife.. The hole American experience was totally different to anything I had ever known before everything was so big!!! and very spread out, some things are better like the food and some of the stores, but some things are worse like the having to drive everywhere just to get milk as an example it is nearly 3 miles to the local store!!!. In England you can walk half a mile and you got everything you need.. I think I went at the right time in terms of temperature but the wrong time for the plants as everything was dry and brown and all the roads we dusty and there are a lot of roads there!!!!.. Where as Britain is always green with many plants growing but then we have too much rain!!! so somewhere between the 2 climates would be nice...I have been told San Antonio is nice in the summer when the plants are about, and from what I viewed of the river walk the place is very nice...
