Are you a fan of Little Britain?

It's a bit naff that you've developed such a disdain for the subject through the shortcomings of the academics. Shame on them, their teaching style and perhaps their syllabus. Contrary to the popular beliefs, maths really is an amazing discipline. But good on you for sticking through it and continuing on with your progression to get your degree. It's a lot more constructive than my solution to adverse conditions.

I have a degree in applied mathematics and I'm fascinated to know why people do subjects that they don't enjoy. If it's only a facet of an overall goal though, it makes sense.

Sounds like you and stats have a purely functional relationship. So, you're studying a course that involves stats but only has it as a facet of it. Hmmm, are you studying a business management type course or psychology? I hope you don't mind me asking. Well, even if you did, the simple solution would be to not answer. I hope you do though; I'm intrigued.
