*sigh*
im tired. and yes, a bit sad still..
drove just about 1000 miles yesterday to give my goat to one of my dads friends who raises them. I got there and put him in the pasture and stood out there with him for a few minutes, then went inside then onto the deck in the backyard. i was watchin him and he kept mehhing at me cuz i wouldnt come to him, so he decided to try to jump the fence, since that wouldnt work, he jumped up on a small shed and then hopped the fence into the backyard. so i had to grab him by his ear and drag him back into the pasture. then when i left, i had to lock him up in the stall so he wouldnt escape, and that really got to me.
so this morning i got woken up by my dad calling my phone. he told me he had something to tell me about fender. first thing that went though my mind was oh shit.
turns out my dads friend was across the street for about an hour, then when she got back, my goat was out of the stall and in the pasture, turns out, he's pretty smart. he learned how to open the stall door. so then that night, the lady left the stall door open for the goats so they could wander in and out as they pleased.
when she woke up this morning, she went out to go feed them and saw no goats anywhere at all. theyre usually out running about in the pasture, but there were no sounds and they were all gone. she went into the stall, and there they were, my goat lying down with the four girl goats cuddling up next to and ontop of him. when she got in there, fender lifted his head up, mehhed, then went back to sleep. thats my baby. so im glad hes a happy goat now! and next year, if my next goat doesnt make sale, ill be makin another trip and get to see my first baby. =]
