Day 1- Its been at least 3 weeks...no, maybe a month since I last had the scent of the pack. Maybe they walked up the stream, not down as the scent in the water went. Ive been living off of mostky small rodents ive come across, with the exception of that deer carcass, picked clean by vultures. Not a total loss, I got one of them too. Im thinking maybe tomaarow, Ill head townards the canyon. They may have taken refuge from this bitter cold in one of the crevasses. I can only hope. I dont know how muck more of this lonliness I can take...
