wednesday night my father had a heart attack

I'm having such a problem saying/typing that. I can't even look at it, its just so hard to believe that it happened.

My father is an asshole. I have no problem saying that. He always has been & always will be. But he's still my dad & I still love him.

He has WPW, or did at least 17 years ago. He was part of a group that recieved an experimental surgery to correct it after the problem was discovered. From the way it was explained to me its something like an arithmea. The heart attack is either the WPW back again, even stronger (but still most likely treatable), or its something else that will kill him (quickly if it goes untreated or slowly by way of the medications). The only way to test if its WPW would kill him if its the other, but they strongly believe it is the WPW as he was given meds at the ER the other night & if it had been the other his heart would have stopped & then exploded...Kinda glad it wasn't the other.

I'm honestly just freaking out. I can't concentrate on anything - my ADD is in hyperactive mode. Every time I start to calm down we get another phone call or something else happens & I start all over again. I don't know what to do. I can't even talk to my friends who's dads HAVE had heart attacks to ask them bc their dads' died :(
